How long have you worked at Collabco and what attracted you to the company?
I’ve been working at Collabco for just over 2 months. I knew the company was for me because, as a recent graduate myself, I could see the value and importance in myday. A great product that I wanted to be a part of!
What are some of your previous roles and how do they compare to your current one?
Whilst completing my Psychology degree, I worked in customer services for an insurance firm. I soon became aware that my passion was for interacting with customers and helping solve their problems. This interest was amplified by the fascinating content of my degree, that has equipped me with the knowledge and skills for personable interactions with individuals. I hope that these past experiences and interests have provided a great foundation to be successful in my role at Collabco.
When it comes to developing a product, how important is having the buy-in from customers?
Customers are vital to our success in many ways. Their feedback and views helps to ensure the high quality of our product and makes us stronger, to ensure we provide students with the best. Therefore, a trusting relationship between ourselves and our customers is essential.
What do you believe to be the future of myday as a product and education technology overall?
I am so excited for the new era Collabco enters as we become ‘Ready Education.’ This offers great growth and amazing opportunities for development that I’m glad I get to be a part of. This means we can continue to grow alongside educational technology and continue to meet student’s and institution’s needs.
What excites you about working for Collabco and what are your favourite things about the job?
The talent and culture at Collabco excites me. I love that I get to work within such a passionate team of individuals, where everyone is so supportive and have the collective goal of supporting institutions to support their students.
Name your 3 favourite features within myday?
I love how myday sends push notifications. This is a really effective method of communicating with Gen Z, as they are used to being notified in this way from social media apps.
Single sign on is a great feature of myday. This saves students a lot of time and effort as one sign in gives them access to all their institution’s systems.
The high level of personalisation enabled by myday is very powerful. This ensures every student can match the platform to their specific needs, creating a personable experience.
Tell us a fun fact about yourself!
During lockdown I managed to watch all 180 episodes of Desperate Housewives in less than two weeks and I’m proud….it was a great use of my time!
